Default 5.3 into 69 chevy c/10

Getting ready to transplant a 5.3 into my 69 chevy c/10. im going to use a 5 speed trans out of an 88 chevy. Has anyone ran into any issues with running a different trans on the back of one of these since the depths were the flywheels are located are different on ls motors vs regular sbc motor, which makes the bellhousings on the transmissions different?

What have guys been using to hook up to the factory high pressure fuel line on the fuel rails and the return line. What kinds of fuel pumps would be best for this application to be able to put out the 60 psi these motors need to operate?

I'm using the russel efi quick disconnects, good luck finding them, everyone is almost always out of stock.

nice, another 5.3L '69

I'm using those same Russel connectors. They work mint.

I'm using an inline Walbro 240. Works perfectly!

You might be able to use a flywheel spacer, like the one from Speed Engineering. It's used for 4L80E swaps.

Keep us posted on the progress.

well i just have to do some trial and error fitting on the trans. i was looking around and found a website called LT1 swap .com the guy that has the site looks like he has making the factory 5.3 engine harnesses down to a science on how to make them a stand alone unit. so i emailed him tonight on a couple of questions. so well see how that goes. ill have to see if i can get some pictures and figure out how to get them on here so you guys can check it out as progress goes.

Speartech. End of story.

VERY happy with his service and workmanship on my standalone harness.
