Default drivshaft

Hey guys iam bout done with my cutlass but have to mesaure the drive shaft the tranny that was in the car was a 200r4 will this driveshaft work with the new 4l60e i got thanks

Nope, you need a 3 inch longer driveshaft.

The overall length on the 2004r is 27 11/16 inches. The overall length on the 4l60e is 30 12/16 inches. If you removed the 2004r and replaced it with the 4l60e, it will be 3 inches longer, so you will need to Shorten the driveshaft by 3 inches. If the new engine is mounted in the same place (where the trans bolts to the engine) as the old engine, then shortening the driveshaft 3 inches will work. If the new engine/trans is moved forward of that point then you will have to shorten the driveshaft less than 3 inches.
