theres a third gen website i forget the name but if u google ls1 thirdgen it will probably be one of the first to come up, anyway that site is loaded with ls third gens

Ide almost venture to say this is one of the, if not THE most common swap out there. Tons and tons and tons of info right here on this site. And even more over on thirdgen.org. Pictures, write ups, advice, answers to questions...stickies with full write ups and wiring... You can find most info in one sticky over on TGO im pretty sure.

P.S.... Dont limit your search to IROC-Z swaps.... The swap for an 82-92 camaro/firebird is pretty much exactly the same. Slight variances in wiring (if you arent making a custom harness/gauge set up), but other than that...its the same.

You'll find some people do things differently than others...and thats a good thing...especially for the newer swappers. They have more choices and more info that some of us that swapped awhile ago. In the last couple years...the amount/quality of the info has exploded.
