GM for quality and hood clearance. its amazing the difference in the ports and finished work.
if you are for all out hp/cost factor, then get the victor jr and dont look back.
i have ran all three.
GM
edelbrock dual plane
edelbrock vic jr.
they have a super victor out now as well, if you are making 600+hp.

Thanx for the reply. I came across a brand new GMPP for little or nothing and I'm just trying to figure out if its the one to run. I dont plan on racing, it's just going to be a street cruiser, and I'm hoping to make somewhere between 400-450hp with the Z06 cam, LS2 heads, 1.8 rr, and some port matching.

How much differenve was there between the dual plane and the single pane manifold.
I bought a 6.0 and was considering the GMPP carb intake with injectors, but didn't want to lose tthe torque of the dual plane at hiway cruising rpm, around 2000rpm.

I did a search on here and found a couple posts about the Edelbrock being taller. Thats why I'm going with the GMPP.

i dont remember the exact height i measured.
gm intake, 1" spacer, and a 3" drop base carb, cleared my hood fine.
vic jr, spacer, air cleaner wont fit. without the spacer a filter will fit, but i cant put a stud on it.

as in street manners, the GM all the way. its way more torqey feeling down low. that really doesnt matter to me, i like the track times. picked up almost a 10th, and about .6mph. i ported it and picked up some more.

Does the cathedral port (LS1 @ 2) GMPP manifold come with thr injector holes drilled?
If so, does GMPP make a fuel rail for it?

everything ive seen, no. check with wagner. they may be able to sell you a unit setup for efi.
the intake is cast with an area to be drilled, so its not like youd be guessing at it.
if you knew the specs and had the tools, you could drill the proper holes.

If the efi bosses only needed a vertical hole, I could probably drill them and buy a universal rail and drill that to match. But from what I've seen, they're angled on all the LS motors.
It might just be easier to go with the Victor JR and edelbrock rail.
