Remote oil filter? Which port is IN and which is OUT?

I am changing over to a remote oil filter for extra room and capacity.

I need to know which port is IN and which is OUT on the LS1/2 engines?

Also what remote kit is everyone using?

the port on the front is the out and the back port is the return
