Default LQ4 598, 595 do I need valve reliefs

I have a stock block and head 06 6.0L. I have a 595, 598 lift and the motor seems to turn over fine. Super chevy said they had to cut valve reliefs in the pistons with only 570 lift. DO I HAVE A PROBLEM HERE. I know someone has got to have a big cam in one of these. I had no luck in another post. It has not started yet, Lee

We are running a 6.0 with L92's, .060 gm mls gaskets, Tsp 233/239 112 cam with lift at .598 and .603 and have no problems and no notching. It all depends when the valves are opening, closing and for how long there open.

602 lift here with milled heads, im good. it all depends on the design of the cam.
i would get with whoever ground the cam. if in question, you need to pull a head and clay it.
