Default LQ9, LS1 intake, C5 exhaust, which cam?

I've got an LQ9 from an Escalade.
I'm putting an LS1 intake on it to clear the hood of my 68 vette.
I've got stock C5 exhaust manifolds from an LS6 motor.
If I use the Escalade throttle body, which cam will give me the best increase in the 5000+ rpm range without losing torque at highway cruising speed (around 1950 rpm).
Also, with this combo, what will be the next most restrictive element, intake manifold or throttle body.

I used the LQ9 engine, LS6 intake, 4L80E trans, 2600 stall, 3.42 gears in my 81 trans am. It runs good with the stock cam. I plan to change the cam, lifters, springs, rockers, oil pump, timing chain and rod bolts when I paint the car. I am looking at the TR224 cam. I wouldn't bother with the effort of a cam swap for the first three choices.

My concern is that a bigger cam will result in less low end torque.
Also, without a better intake and bigger throttle body, will the cam improve top end (over 5000rpm) horsepower?

Yes. Keep in mind that you can't use the LS3 cams. They don't have the provisions for the rear mounted cam sensor. Check out the three Trick Flow grinds that are sold by Summit. They are inexpensive and are excellent cams. I used the biggest one in my RX7, but you may want to go with the middle one.

t rex. Go big or go home, jk. I would go with the tr 224. Good cam great cruiser cam. Or the hot cam is another small cam choice. Do some searches on them. If you are gonna swap cams I wouldnt go with a stock cam or even an ls6. I would make it worth while.
