Default v6 to ls1 $

Anybody have an approx. amount on how much $ it would take to do a complete swap- ls1 and 4l60e wiring harness, fuel system etc. Complete, pass emissions and all? Just seeing if it would be worth it. Thanks

i doubt it would still pass emissons i could be wrong but when u goto emissions they bring up ur STOCK car and if it runs out of the boundaries of the stock numbers which i'm guessing a ls1 swap would do it wouldn't pass and i'm sure its kinda costly better off just buying a whole new car i think ls1's run with a stock build like 5-6grand but like i said i could be wrong

just save up 5-6k and buy a ls1 car. Much easier, less hassle.

The motor and how much work you plan to do has alot to do with it.

My 5.3 cost me $2100 with everything.
$300 to mod and flash the harness/ECM.
Fuel system another $250.
Drive shafts? Misc wiring, nuts bolts????

Figure $3K easy

Will you put it in a car made for it or something else?

Smog normally means it has to pass as the same year as the new motor with all the stock emissions.
