so i am weird and the purple was clashing too much with my color scheme so i bought the same regulator but in black.

also redid my red tial BOV too since that was an off red compared to the rest

everything is filthy, once it is together and cleaned up should look good

Got it back together and running again. Started and ran great again got me excited

All that is left is finishing hatch and cleaning it up

Here are the headlights. Inboard are lows. 3 outside are highs. No cutoff so I have the lows aimed very low. Shouldn't bother anybody

Happy how it turned, lows are on

Just need to get it cleaned up

Changed the oil. Just made vid to show changes from winter. Mostly, painted stuff, air intake, and lights

had guy be nice enough to lend me his $$ vbox so i could get some numbers for their list

tried it out the other evening

I was very happy with how it ran, this is on some dime store hankook 255s

this tire

no traction control or any of that stuff, just an ams 1000. It is tied into my brake pedal so i can pick to start the program with either the release of the transbrake or the foot brake

rolling 30-40 brake boost a bit and then go WOT, the AMS brought it from 4psi to 14ps very slowly. was on the edge of traction the whole time but the car tracked straight enough to stay in it

this is the run and can see the boost curve in green, hits full boost after 100

had some better luck, was having issues trying to get the slicks to work, was getting very discouraged. But i think i have it kinda figured out

anyway here is a new best, 13/14psi all in fully in 2.5 seconds

only enought fuel for one hit today after church since i burned the full tank the other night getting pist off at the slicks

I bumped the limiter on the shift like a dummy as you can see

red speed, pink Gs, green elevation/slope

and here is the 4.77 run against one from last time out with power in very fast, but lost traction above 100, I think i can hook it now though

so there is more if i can keep the tires

Id like to see a low 4 on the street, that would be alright for my non awd POS

update this, gave the old girl too much.

The 6.0 iron blocks arent all they are cracked up to be, lol

i always thought they were siamese, they are not, cylinder walls very thin between cylinders, only .100

I owe it nothing, that thing ran a long time

I did have the car up over 20 psi on the street for awhile, it was interesting. did go 3.42 100-150 on the street on drag radials

did a 60-130 of 4.05, rather traction limited there though

Could have been way worse. Iron blocks are cheap.

Keeping a 6.0 block @ 4.005 might help a bit but you could be in LSX territory now as you set your sights on sevens.

Ha yeah I decided not to stick any more money into a production block

The deck thickness and cylinders are in a different realm compared to the 6.0

yes i will keep the info here

My new pistons are here. Wanted to try the new JE asymmetrical design

These are a custom piston beefier than shelf, setup for my valve size and cam specs, and total volume I wanted. 7.25cc total volume on piston

Here can see the asymmetry , the major thrust side of the piston has a larger skirt, the minor smaller, the pin is offset, supposedly helps keep the piston loaded on the skirt so piston slap is not a problem

Pin oilers

Keeping crown thickness across valve relief
