well, i can beat on it nonstop on the highway and never goes above 175-180... but again that is NA with no boost
as long as you have good airflow across it i dont know how it could be a problem.... keep in mind i dont have a IC in front of it either.... i am running alk.
The rotary engines are what are hard to keep cool (put out more heat than TO)... and i had no problems keeping cozy temps with the koyo single pass i had in there.....
the koyo was a 2" core single pass..... this is a 2.75" core and dual pass with 1.25" tubes
I would think this core would cool at least as well as that... anyway i will keep you posted... but no worries here
thanks for the compliments

Very nice! There is sooo much room it is silly! Do you think there is any way to run a different passenger side exhaust manifold and still run a/c with the hot side pointing forward?
I vote for a T76 single turbo setup or bigger!
I'll be curious how that little fan cools it down
I ran a 27.5x15.5 Griffen radiator in my GN powered FC. Did a nice job of cooling but during summer heat if driven hard the temps would climb.

The 4.8, being a rollover motor, after continued abuse and 7k+ rpm it spun a couple rod bearings. According to HPTuners it was making around 420hp though and was a shitload of fun.
End of next week its getting a fully forged Callies crank/rods Diamond 9:1 pistons 370 iron block with ported L92 heads and single plane intake, larger cam as well. Gonna just throw that in there until the stock trans ***** the bed then it will get a built 4l60 and a 3800 stall. Maybe over the winter it will get a nice big single borg warner turbo, we shall see. Pics will be up when the motor gets here.

is this thing turbo yet? no updates in months... I would probably do a gt42 if it is a street car. A t76 or bigger is awesome on the track, but not so amazing on the street.

Update
ha, haven't done an update here for along time, so i will now
If you have any questions please ask what or how i did it, because I will miss explaining 60% of what is all done
I overspun the 4.8 and killed it.... so lots of new stuff
to the date i have redone alot of things, like move the radiator farther forward, new fan assembly, surge tank, th350 instead of 4lcrappy, coils inside the car, fuel system, ect.
the new engine in the car is this...
.030 over 6.0 - - 370ci
Scat forged H beam rods
Manley forged pistons
Clevlite77 bearings
LS2 crank
Hellfire rings
Ported LS6 oil pump
Rollmaster double roller timing chain
GM MLS 5 layer HG's
ARP fasteners
L92/LS3 heads
Comp 918 valve springs
Ti retainers
SS intake valves
Comp hardened pushrods
GMPP valve covers (coils in car now)
L76/LS3 intake
PTM 90mm TB
60lb injectors
10.3 static CR
.
.
.
.
here is what the car sits at currently.... runs very strong and i love it, just need my favorite noise (turbo) now once again
.
.
.
.
.
now for the on coming project... BOOST
New turbonetics TC78
1.15 divided, new f1 turbine, 78mm comp inducer/ 108mm exducer
will support more than i could ever use, yet in a small and light package
will be getting into this boost fab in about a month, after harvest... i have a brand new lincoln precision tig 225 and am excited to use it more

Felt ambitious today and decided to get to it...... well, was ambitious, until when i was pulling the front pulley i decided to give the puller one last turn and the damn pulley fell square on my big toe. It looks lovely currently
anyway, i want to have a good oil turbo drain with no issues, so i am going to add a -10 bung on the timming cover, along with a ATI 25% underdrive balancer/pulley (without the AC pulley) to give me alot of room to work with, since it is 5.5" vs the stock 7.5"
as far as i got

Oil drain done, turned out very nice
and the idea on an engine
PS, I love having a kickass TIG machine

it is a stock master cylinder....
i made that plate and modified the rod....
also moved the master cylinder/fulcrum up to increase the leverage/force since it was fully manual brakes
works great, love the clean look and room opened up
