Started on the hotside..... Decided to go with mild instead of SS because i am going to coat and possibly wrap it anyway
And if anyone is wondering why in the world i put the Vbands on, there is a reason
I am going to put a small SS weld between the flange and the cast manifold....
I was going to just wack the flange off the manifold and weld my pipe to the manifold, but decided to use the flange/bolts to give it all the support and then weld around it (as a seal)..... that way the crack prone cast weld wont be supporting any weight (studs will be) and it will just be a seal
and i hate bolt flanges.... FTMFL....

Did the other side this evening... As you can see i am trying to keep both sides as symmetrical as possible.
That is why i like these manifolds and using some of the other styles of manifolds in combination bother me.... I am just weird like that
I will now mock my turbo flange in place and build from the flange to my manifold V-bands
talked to a welder that does X-rayed high temp and high pressure SS and carbon steel pipe welding and he told me to use 309ss filler..... so that is what i will use throughout and will purge

worked on my flange setup tonight
Started with a 2" > 2.25" transition and a little bit of cutting and forming.... looks great IMO
Never said but i am using 2.25" up pipes.... most use 2.5" but I want to keep velocity up and make this thing as fun as possible

Alright got off of MW2 long enough to get something done
Hotside is done... now coat and wrap with the new DEI titanium stuff
any bets if I will be able to keep down to 4psi without creep?? asking because i didn't really know how i was going to place the WG's but this seem logcial to me... maybe not??
and i am lazy and didn't want to spend the time to TIG everything, and i am really good with MIG so i did that
I only TIG'd the SS v-bands and the WG flanges
I am a little rusty with TIG but not too bad

If your going to drag race this car you'll need to put a anti roll bar in the car. My car would roll all the way over on the right side tire's when I launched the car! That's really the only problem with the watts link. No body twist, the whole car would just roll. Good luck with the rest of the build.
