Post Instrument panel on a 87 S10

I have the 87 S10 and it didn't come with a tact, which is normal, but I want to add one in the dash, so my question is is there any problems on sticking a 1989 mustang instrument cluster in the space of S10?

I would just suggest buying a cheap tach.... It's not going to be a direct swap in by anymeans.

Why not buy an S10 Instrument cluster that has a tach. It's very easy to connect.
