Default I finally got my engine, now I got some questions...

Hee there,

I finally got my '06 7k LS2 Corvette engine with 4L60e.

now I got some questions:

- The belhousing has a small crack on the underside, is this disturbing?

- One of the o2 sensors looks busted, does this matter? or how to test it?

- I am missing 3 rubber cones underneed the engine covers to support it I guess, where to get those?
Or do they come with the engine covers when I order two new ones, these are busted a little.

I probably have some more question comming, thanks guys!

You could take the bell housing to someone who can weld alum... I should be ok... as I know someone who does it for transmission shops.

Just get a new O2.

Get the rubber cap at the local dealer.

I take it that this was a pull out from a cashed Vett. Better check everything over for more cracks.

the belhousing is not from a vette and I checked everything twice, no big worries besides the cracked belhousing.

I am from the netherlands, so going to a tranny shop isn't thateasy and affordable, and going to the dealer isn't an option to...

Can I use one of the rear O2 sensors instead of this one?

any more tips are welcome

Thanks

Peter

I need some more upinions on the crack in the bellhousing...
do I have to worry? do I need to do something about it or leave it this way? or should I replace? what is involved in bolting it off?

Thanks

Peter

i believe the front and rear O2 sensors function identically, the rear one just has a longer cable. at least that was what i was told when trying to decide on buying a front or rear sensor for my conversion..

If you're worried about the bellhousing, find someone who can weld aluminum, and have them weld up the crack, and it doesn't have to be a tranny shop to do the welding.
Worst case scenario, slap some JB Weld on the crack, otherwise you'll have a leak
