Belt question for ls1 a/c delete
I took out my ac recently. I bought a belt from napa but it jumps every few months at the track. What belts are you guys using and where can I find them? Part numbers would be great! thanks

stock AC uses its own belt, removing AC doesn't change the belt you use for PS, Alternator, and water pump. Before I installed my AC compressor, I used GM part # 12569527, available at your local or online Chevy dealer.
Any chance you have an underdrive pulley installed? If so, you need a shorter belt.
Either way, check to make sure all your brackets and accesories are tight, none of the pulleys are bent, and that the tensionor is inbetween the two marks on its body.

It will be the belt tensioner, when you beat on your engine (aggressive acceleration and deceleration at stooopid revs ) the tensioner can't keep up, the lip on the wheel is too small so the belt flips off. Apparently the Katech is the one to go for - but that's only hearsay as I'm still waiting for mine to arrive.

Go to Katech's webpage and look for Engine Products in the drop down menu. They have it listed there.
