Default Question on MAF's

Been looking for a MAF for my build and have a few questions.

1. What is a decent price to pay for a good condition stock unit?

2. Will all the MAF's out there work? See a bunch on ebay labeled for this type vehicle etc.... LS, LT etc....

$25 at the salvage yard. Give 'em your year, make, & model & they will print out a list of vehicles with identical MAF's. Just gently clean the screen & sensors w/ contact cleaner or alcohol & a Q-tip & she's good to go. Be gentle though, don't want to damge the sensors.

CRC MAF cleaner spray has always worked well for me to clean them up. The K&N filters can get them goopy if they're mounted too closely.

Duane,

I used an 85mm truck unit that I got of ebay brand new(scratch & dent) for 29.00. It is a 5 pin unit. I am guessing that you will need the 3 pin, as your IAT sensor should be remote mounted. You can run the 5 pin with internal IAT(truck unit) with an adapter harness. This would be an easier route for your conversion. I just bought a second one last night for 31.00. They are pretty plentiful.

Thanks for the info Jack, any idea where to get the adaptor harness? (of course you do, you have links to everything).

is this what you are referring to? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-07...=p4506.c0.m245

Duane,

That is the same MAF I bought last night...same seller too.
That one will work just fine for your conversion.

Here is the link you need for the adapter
