you should contact the manufacturer first, because they are the ones who have the most experience with their product.

Yea.. what you got?

I bought conversion mounts for my Car.. is it not lining up on the Cradle?

That is the problem I ran into, and I had to notch the Bolt holes in my K-Member mounts so I could slide them out wider to fit in my Engine in.

well there are 2 problems......1st the mounts are to wide for the cradle, the 2nd is the motor is 2 inches from the tranny. the C4 has a torkarm like a Fbody, the tranny is still in the car so thats how i know its not in the right place.

Do you have pics of the Mounts?

To solve the first problem you might have to do what I mentioned in my previous post.

Without seeing your Mounts and plates or which style they are made from.. I can only say that you have got the wrong ones.. you need one that will place the engine backwards the distance that your trans/engine is apart (2" ?).

or that you need to relocate the engine frame mounts backwards the distance you need...

But those are only wild guess right now, without seeing what your setup looks like.

Maybe you have the Mount Plates on the wrong side..not insulting you.. just throwing it out there. I've done **** like that as well..we all have.

A pic would help alot though for me to know what you are working with and to give some advice on..

The mounts are installed correctly, The ls engine trans mounting surface is flush with the passenger head... Traditional sbc engines have a 1 1/2 offset to the trans mounting surface, when you mount a ls you can only place it so far rearward before you run into firewall interference issues if trying to install it to the trans in the stock location. With our standard mounts the ls cylinder head has less that 1/2 inch of clearance from the firewall. It's confusing to explain but since the trans mounting surface is is flush with the head and the trans is in the stock location your only option is to move the trans forward.

The torque arm holes have to be elongated so the trans can move forward, I know because I have done it on a swap.
