Question SS Trailblaser pull out

I'm looking a used pull out engines on ebay and have noticed that the engines coming out of the SS Trailblasers are selling for a lower price. Is there something less favorable with these LS2's.

Thanks, Tony

The intake and harness are the only differences that might be a negative. Also the accessories are less desirable. From what I see, some people are asking too much for the GTO and the Vette units, while the TBSS ones are just right.

One other thing to watch out for is the crank sensor. From what I've read the '06 TBSS motors have the 24x crank reluctor wheel and the '07-'08's have the 58x. Could cause issues when selecting a computer & harness.

The intake manifold is really just a truck intake, the TB is different and it has a clutch style cooling fan, not the electric fans. Which is not a big deal if you just use the engine that otherwise (short block and heads) is the same.

Hey Thanks Guys, regarding price I just don't see alot of bidding on them on Ebay and was wondering why? What about the Oil Pan. My conversion car is a 68 A Body Chevelle.

If its a AWD oil pan, it will not work with an A-Body.
