Default Any Tricks To LS1 Oil Pan Removal In Vehicle?

Need to replace leaky gasket. Does the F-Body pan drop straight down? How far down before it can slide out? Any tips? Thanks

I wanna say its got to drop down 6-8" before you clear the pick-up.

i think the back of the pan needs to drop around 5" to clear the pickup, but the front of the pan only needs maybe 1" to clear the windage tray and pickup tube. So if you have enough room you can just tilt the bottom of the pan down until it pops off the pickup, then just shimmy the front of the pan out from between the engine/xmember.

Otherwise you have to jack the engine up a bit.. which is annoying. trust me.
