Default new addition.....62 chevy II....who has an lsx conversion?

Well, Im selling my 64 vette roadster lt1/ t56, but Im getting a 62 chevy II.

Im have a turbo friendly ls1 for the chevy II so if anyone has done the swap, please chime in. Its a fun car....ie, ladder bar 9 inch spool, th400, big tire, etc.....

Ill be putting in the 346 alum block ls1 and doing a 76-80 mm single on it, with stoc pcm, speed density tune.

Im most intersted in the cheap way to get away from the rear steer, and go to a rack, and maybe struts, with out buying a kit.

My vote goes to MeanYellowZ. He has a nice looking duece with a 5.3 and a big Borg S475. He's got a cool video on YouTube I like to watch once in a while.

1320, I used a manual mustang II rack, made up a mini "K" frame switched the left spindle to the right and right to the left. To correct the ackerman angle i used chevelle steering arms. Also used the inner tie rods and sleeves on the rack. For the shocks i used f-body Qa1s (used) made pockets on the top of shock tower for coil springs.Spring rate is a little tricky to figer out, not as easy as plain "A" arm.

There are some pics in there of mine. I obviously went with the aftermarket front end. Bought the Heights frame bare for around $800 and then shopped around for the various Mustang II parts...have around 1500 in it that way.

I recently turned the boost up and hurt the #7 piston. Still driving it afterwards at 15 psi I ran a buddy of mine on the highway and walked away from him from 45-130, his car ran 9.6x at 140+ at the strip a few days later.

Default Front steer

Check these guys out if you'd like to convert the stock front clip to front steer. Nice parts!
