Default Edelbrock Headers in a 2nd Gen

I'm dropping an LS2 into my 73. I bought the Edelbrock motor plates and their headers. The headers fit great except for the passenger side #8 tube. Has anyone else experienced the tube hitting the frame? Is it because of the clamshell motor mounts?

Your the first person I've seen with a set. I'm trying to purchase a simular set (65043) for my Nova.

I would like to know also... my headers and plates will be here Tuesday and I'm trying to decide if I want to run the clamshell mounts or the earlier style mounts.

I am looking for the 65043's as well, this is the first set of the conversion headers I've seen, look great.
