Default the top to convertable conversion

I have a 98 trans top TA. Just found parts for a wrecked 96 vert. Wheels are turning, and I didn't really find anything really on Google for such an operation. Is the there ex tr ra bracing in the windshield area on these cars. Also would it be really hard to cut the rest of the top off?

It's gonna be lotta work to make it look and work like factory to be honest.
Probably expensive if you aren't doing it yourself.

Why not fix the 96 so you can have both?

The quarters and obviously decklid are different. The inner structure of the quarters is different as well to support facilitation of the top. It'd be completely horrid to convert IMO.
