Leaking hydraulic cylinder
I just noticed oil dripping out of the car and discovered that the passenger side roof cylinder is all gunked up. I am guessing the cylinder itself is the culprit and not the lines, they look clean up to the point I can see them. Has anyone removed a cylinder? I took the panel off in the interior. I can see that a top bolt hold the cylinder to the car and the cotter pin releases it from the roof mechanism. Do I just release them and pull it all out. It looks quite crowded in there.
I read that you extend the cylinders fully (not connected to the roof) to bleed the system, does this let fluid travel right throughthe cylinder when it is full extended? Just trying to figure out how the fluid doesn't just stop when the cylinder hits it end stop.
