Do you take your car thru the car wash? Brushless? How's the top holding up?

No, and the reason being is that I will do a better job doing washing it in my driveway than going through the car wash. Plus it would cost me $5 to go through the car wash. That is beer money.

I've never taken my car thru the wash, but I see people do it so I was questioning if it's common practice.

If you like your car, don't take it through an automoatic car wash.

The brushes are clogged with abrasive gravel (you didn't see the monster truck go through 5 minutes before you got there).

Brushless won't damage your car - but it won't clean it either.

NEVER!!! I dont let anyone touch my car! I wash it myself. My truck I take through the car wash weekly. Its too much of a pain in the *** to get the step ladder out and wash it...

I do take my TA through the hand held spray wash on occasion. It doesn't get it clean, but in the winter, it lets me keep it relatively clean and keep road grime sprayed out of the wheel wells, etc.

I avoid spraying the top, though. I clean it only by hand. If I spray it at the car wash, it's with rinse water only.

i took my previous vert through the automatic carwashes because i didn't know better.
i think i might take this one through a brushless wash just because i hate cleaning the wheels.
i'll be sure to bring a towel.

took it for the first time because the chicago salts get annoying on the undercarriage...

i got stuck halfway in the wash (side pipes were scraping on the rails) and had to use boards to get up and off .

never doing that again.

Default killed antena

i take mine through the auto at times. the last time i had the radio on. yup you know what happened next doncha. i heard a clunk bang clunk bang. i saw the antena hanging like it had been murdered. i was pissed. i bought a new one off ebay. the new one is much much much more quiet than the factory and better reception. the paint is not in that good of shape maybe that's why i don't mind taking it to the auto. the top needs some tlc though. i need to make some time and take it some place that knows what they are doing. if i had the time i would wash it by hand since this is best...
