Default NEW RACE WEIGHT....Ready to knock on that 8sec door bitches!!

So over the winter I have been taking as much weight out of my car as I possible could......Got it on the scales last night....3240 with driver and gas.......Last go around was 3540.....

Still have power steering, power windowns, locks, alarm. Plan to drop atleast 100lbs more before next year then its getting jetted up and going for 8.9's in a true street drivien car!

to date the best ET on the old setup has been 9.36@147 with the best mph being 149mph.....Droped 300lbs and gonna jet this bitch up! Probably around towards the end of the season I plan on driving it to Rockingham (1 hour away) and puttin her in the 8's and driving home......

So I have a great idea that you may want to hear. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's thought of it. Anyways, you know the tonneau cover (this one: http://www.autotuningstore.com/RKSpo...t--360273.html ) that they sell for the verts right? So I thought about buying that and removing the entire soft top and framing off the car. Only thing is that would make it a full time vert obviously. But if you garage keep yours and only drive it on nice days, then I see no issue. Haha.

How much weight is that worth I wonder....

According the the RKSport website, the fiberglass one weighs 45lbs. I had one and that sounds about right.

Have not done much sense that last outing with the car last year. We did remove all of the nitrous. We are now running IHRA Super Stock with the car. We ended up adding a single wheelie bar which added 20lbs so we ended up around 3265 race weight. We got our 1st win at our 2nd outing with the car. We plan on removing/replacing the following:

Power steering (10lbs?)
replacing my TH400 with a LIGHT weight Th350 or Metric 200 (100lbs min)
Re wiring the whole car (10lbs)
replacing the factory hood with a VFN pin on (around 25lbs difference)
Forza II seats for Kirkly alum. (20lbs difference)

Like I said im planning on doing a full list of stuff when I get back in town Tuesday of next week. thanks guys for still being interested. here are some current pictures with the wheels and breaks.
