Question Aftermarket Tunnel X-Brace for ARH Cat'd Y-Pipe?

Does anyone sell an aftermarket tunnel X-Brace which fits an ARH Cat'd Y-Pipe? The factory unit no longer fits. I called UMI, and the only thing they have is their tunnel braces w/with out a driveshaft safety loop.

Aftermarket X-Brace for ARH Cat'd Y-Pipe?

It seems us 'Vert owners are always the red-headed stepchildren. LOL

TIA!

So far no one sells an aftermarket x-brace for our 'verts, however the regular hardtop tunnel brace will fit. When I had my y-pipe changed out, I ditched the x-brace with a Spohn tunnel brace. That by it self made a difference and tighened up the tunnel area, but it did hinder ground clearance.

I did the Spohn tunnel brace when I went with a Kooks Y pipe, but it ate up too much ground clearance for my taste, so I ditched it. Ended up taking the factory X brace and modified it by cutting on it so it would fit around the Y pipe. Dressed the cuts with some black Rustoleum and was good to go.

I also have some concerns about ground clearance of the UMI unit as well, it is beefy and hangs low!

Interesting solution, please share some photos!

I'll see if I can crawl underneath and take a pic or two.

I tried a SLP piece and it was a real turd, only could
get 3 of the 4 mount points to line up and it still was
binding against the exhaust. I was able to beat the
stock piece enough to (barely) clear the SLP Y but
nothing worked with the 3" Jet-Hot Y. Though maybe
just shimming it down some, on (say) 1/2" aluminum
blocks, might.

It does look like it would be fairly easy to fab your
own, to fit the details of plumbing.

I am surprised more 'Vert owners have not pursued this, as I assume most have added Headers & aftermarket Y…

Does this x-brace even do much, or the straight-across piece on the non-Verts? Is there much value in ensuring a tunnel brace exists?

Things got a little bit "floppier" without it, but not
enough that I was motivated to go weld something
up.

The rear, straight-across piece is best swapped out
for a driveshaft loop.

I sure wish UMI or someone could step-up and offer an X-Brace for Vert owners with an ARH/aftermarket Y-pipe…
Here are some aftermarket/home creation X-Braces on an older Camaro 'Vert:

Wonder why the stock piece is such an oddball design?!

Found some pictures, since I forgot to take photos of mine before removal...

Was doing an oil change yesterday and remembered someone requesting a pic of the mods I did to my X brace to make it fit with the Kook's 3" Y pipe.
