Angry Top starting to lift from top of the rear glass!

I'll get pic, but you all know what I'm talking about. It's not too bad, right now, but it's the full length of the the glass. How do I fix this and what do I use?

I know there's a thread about this and maybe a write up. If someone could post the link, that would be great, because I can't find the damn thing!

I have some high end panel bond called SIX10. I wonder if that will work!?

Does anyone have the link to the HOW TO thread? Do I release the top, to tension on the material, so I can evenly pull the material down on the glass and then use the glue?

I have used 3m double sided tape. Available at auto zone. Need to clean glass and top with alcohol very well. Took me 20 min to do. Lasted for a few seasons. I replaced the entire top eventually.

I had that problem and used winshield urethane from a glass shop. Ten bucks and done.

I know this is an old thread, but if you didn't fix it yet try window weld. It is a black adhesive in a caulk like tube. My window was almost completely off and that reattached it no problem.

I have the Bird in the shop for a new motor so I can't do nothing about the glass, but I am always in for new info, thanks!

i would rather just replace the whole top unless its a total emergency then use the expensive winshield silicone as already mentioned

How much is the silicone, vs a new top? It can't be as costly as a new top.

Default rear window loose

I tried double sided tape applied from inside the car. Came loose after a couple of up and downs. I then applied it from the outside the glass and under the top. It is holding after several up and downs.

The window weld is like $20 at autozone. Just need a caulk gun to apply it. Just make sure the areas are clean and it holds very well

I don't know if it's applicable. But my insurance company covered the replacement of my rear window section.

If you have glass coverage it may be worth checking into.

I ended up replacing the rear window curtain. Did that about 5 years ago and other than the defroster tabs breaking off, it's holding up very well. Still have the original black top on my 99 z, and the car is my DD and outside all the time.
