I have a 2000 Camaro Convertible and the rear window channel broke, GM Part # 16629042. GM says it discontinued, does anybody know of any replacement part that will work. I am in Tampa FL. I have been on google, yahoo and bing all day. The Chevy parts person was no help.

I hope I posted in the right area this time. Sorry if I messed up again, still hung over after the Marine Corps Birthday Celebration.

like with MOST parts for these cars, start checking junk yards and the classifieds on here for people parting out a convertible, this is your best bet.

As in where is it located .. bottom or top of window.. I've never taken it apart

It's the vertical support rail with the bearing in it that supports the window going up and down. The bearing broke off the plate it hooks to an every time we weld it, it breaks. By now, I probably need most of the guts in the window.

Check out Hawks third gen on Ebay . They have a lot of obsolete parts and reproduction parts.
