Driver Stealth Box for 'vert

Driver Stealth Box for 'vert
So, really dumb question here...
I'm looking for solutions to revise the sub setup in my 'vert. I currently have a 12" sub taking up the entire trunk well space, and I am realizing how poorly it was actually executed - the "box" and port don't even come close to matching the manufacturer's specs.
I have seen the 10" stealth box for the coupes that fits into the driver's side rear quarter and it's piqued my interest.
I realize that the convertible top pump sits in this space...but it seems like it'd be easy enough to swing it up onto the parcel shelf, and I believe there's still plenty of room for the top to retract. I'd confirm this before I take any action.
My question is, will the stealth box physically fit in the pump location on the 'vert, or is the shape of the cavity fundamentally different than a coupe? I realize the trim on the front of the box wouldn't "flow" into the vert well, but I have no problem pulling that apart and reworking it to fit & flow properly.
