This is my first F-Body and first convertible as well. I have the stock SS exhaust. The car seems so much louder with the roof up even when I am not moving. Are hardtop cars different in this respect or is this a flexible roof thing?

thats the difference between metal and glass vs fabic as you should hear more road noise also...I like my vert cause I can hear when someone down shifts and wants to play without get caught off gaurd...

I just find it weird that a flexible roof makes sound from underneath the car sound more boomy than a metal roof. But when the roof is down the booming is gone totally. I keep thinking of fabric speaker grills that hide speakers, they aren't supposed to do anything to the sound at all. I would have thought a convertible roof would be the same. Oh well, I was just wanting to know since I have never been in a solid roof F-Body.
