Far has I know, 4th gen F-body verts do NOT come with any footwell lights, mine does not have any. So did anyone add any? LED's, cold cathode, etc? Post how to and pics please, since my t/a dash lighting is red, I am thing about red cold cathodes under the dash on each side to light up the footwells...any ideas gents?

I had some small 6" red neons in the footwells. Lit things up pretty well until they kept getting kicked off because of where I mounted them. I have removed them since but was thinking about doing it again.

I went the the local junkyard and pulled a couple of underdash sockets and bulbs from some GM car and installed them in mine.

I did a couple short blue cathodes (4in?) under the dash and a couple 12in in the trunk. Drilled a couple holes and zip tied 'em in. The driver's side is right in front of the OBD plug.

It's brighter than the picture looks, but not white-bright.

I'm so sorry, I couldn't stop myself! It was sooo dark in my footwells. The voice kept saying, "put in the Nice blue lights... put in the Rice blue lights..."

For God's sake! Somebody help me. Now that high Rice spoiler is whispering to me...

If your going to do the footwell lights, you might as well make them a cool color. I think those look good, but I don't know about those trunk lights. In my opinion, it becomes "rice" when you can see the bulbs.

I know what you mean. I probably wouldn't do it again. But, it is so freaking dark in these convertibles, I had to do something. And I had these $8 lights laying around. I did hide the wires!

Well, for 8 bucks I suppose you can be forgiven. A real ricer would have paid 8 bucks for the lights and another 2 hunny for a honkin' big sticker to advertise that your car had blue lights.
