Default rear window cheap fix?

My rear window has come unglued
top shop wants $1200 to put a new top
on.
Top just needs cleaned but window is going to fly out
one day.
The top guy says he buys new glass with the defogger
and its already glued into a panel that is sewn into a pocket
in the top.
I dont want to pay 1200 just to fix the window.

My whole back window is actually out as we speak... and the window holding fabric has ripped across the back...

I could very well be wrong, but the window peice I believe is a seperate piece from the whole top, Thas what I was told?? Now where or not that is correct it a different story......

But I hope that helps!

yes that is correct but the top covers all of it except the bottom,so the top has to come apart to replace it.

If the rest of the top is good read below - it worked like a charm for me and others. You can pick up the adhesive at an automotive glass shop - or, I have also recently seen it at my local Autozone.
