Default Think I will be able to find a C6 ZO6 for 4xK in 3 years?

I am going to be in the market for a Z06 fairly soon within a few years. I already see 06 ZO6's going for 50k, at just 2 years old with under 10k miles. I would assume at the rate its going I should see them in like low 40's within a few years anyone else agree?

*Just checked out ebay, one for BIN 48k...on the right track I think.

I know people that have already picked em up for under 50k. I think late next year 45k should be doable. But for 45k you could get like 45 honda civics..and tie all of the engines together and make over 650 hp.

Yea but I heard that the 2008's are better than the 06's refinment issues and I believe a better tranny, but I could be wrong. I should be in the market for a 2008-09 Zo6 in about a year. Let the mods begin.

I sat an a 08 Z06 in Jan. it was sold for $78k. I just saw an 08 with 9k miles selling for $61k. I have met a couple of people who paid less than 50k for an 06. I actually have been following this very closely. In my Dallas market, they will be in the 40's by Jan 09.

Prices are coming down. You can get $9k or more off a 2009 Z06 and its still CY 2008. 2008's are seeing discounts of $13K! This should make its way through the resale market.

Yes, I think you could find one (maybe a 2006 or a 2007) in the $4xK range in a few years. But a lot can happen in three years. GM is already cutting back Corvette production, so if the economy makes any kind of recovery over the next few years, the prices might go back up a bit. It's all about supply and demand. Right now demand is low and supply is high.

Now if rumors hold up about a 2014 slip for the C7 and a possible V6 base model, then all of the C6's could hold their value better later down the road.

I've been watching the used C6 Z06 market for the last 3 months. I've already seen three of them sell for under $45K, with 30-40K miles on them. None of them were super clean looking, so I would probably pay a little more ($48-50K) and find one with less than 10K miles that was **** kept.

This one smelled like awful cologne and the rear tires were so bald they had cords showing:

This one was painted on, originally listed at $47.9K and it didn't sell....so they raised the price? dumb.

This one looks promising, but too far away to check out:

I looked at 5 local Z06's in the low $50K range, each of them had a story it seems. I ended up buying a new '09 instead ($10K off MSRP)

Tony

Guys, go visit the C6 dealer forum on Corvetteforum.com

Prices over there are awesome, several of them are selling at less than GM employee pricing, which is more than $10K off sticker on a Z06.

I'd love to, but the wife factor (promise to her to take care of some other things first) doesn't expire until at least February, 2010.

I've heard about problems on the '08's.... I don't know why but people have noted a decrease in fitment quality, people rave about the '09's though.

I'd rather have a 2006 than a 2008 even if the prices were very similar (0 miles)

I've got my buddies at my old job looking for a used C6Zo6 for me as a daily driver, the C5 Zo6 is still a great car, but I'm just looking to change things up.

They almost got me an '06 with 6k miles that they were going to buy for 46k, sell it to me for 47k with no tax by brokering the deal between me and the private owner. (fair to let them get their payment)

The seller backed out..... so I'm still looking.

Quick Reply: Think I will be able to find a C6 ZO6 for 4xK in 3 years?
