Default C5 Body Control Module replacement/interchangeability...

The good folks at Howell Engine Development have determined that the BCM on my 2000 C5 is junk. I am trying to determine if there are any other model year C5 BCM's which will interchange with mine, as I know where there is a 1999 model in the local salvage yard. I have the F-45 adjustable ride option, if it makes a difference. I believe that GM made a change in the Active Handling system in '01 or '02 models, so I don't know if these units will work or not. Thank you for your help in advance, guys, as you always seem to have the answers.

You cannot reprogram them. You have to buy a new one and have it flashed. Once it's flashed with your vin, it can never be reflashed with a different one.
You can modify them by changing RPOs, but you cannot take one out of another car and reprogram it with your vin.
