We've just released a variant of our popular oil cooler thermostat for the C5 Corvette. This variant bolts in place of the factory sensor port/oil bypass plate and has a M12x1.5mm sensor port for the factory oil temp sensor, making it a completely bolt on solution for the C5.



The thermostat works by bypassing the oil cooler until oil temps reach a minimum of 180F. By 190F, 100% of the oil flow is directed through the cooler to keep your oil cool. Why use a thermostat? Because it speeds up oil warm up time and prevents oil temps from dropping too low. When oil temps are too low, lubrication and efficiency is sacrificed and engine wear and horsepower loss is increased.
