Default C5's and wheel fitment

I currently have a set of 19"/20" wheels on my Vette. It's undergoing some surgery and will be making some power this summer so the wheels have got to go. I'm told that mini-tubbing a Vette is pretty simple.

I'll be running an 18" wheel all around with 335 Hoosier drag radials on the back. I'm not sure that would fit without tubbing it..

If I were to tub it, an 18x12" wheel & 335s would fit without a hitch right?

Correct. If the offset of the wheel is important. This is off the top of my head but I believe you want an offset of +78mm to +82mm for the rears. Let me double check that though.

Is this gonna see any street driving? Fwiw I run 18x12 or 12.5 (can't quite remember ccw's with 335 hoosiers all around on my C5. I run a small spacer, like 1/8th to keep them from rubbing on the inside and they don't stick out too far on the outside but my car is lowered a bunch so if you're closer to stock ride height you may be fine.

Yep, will see mostly street driving. I won't run a spacer. I'd rather mini-tub it.

I run 1 inch longer arp studs on mine so I don't mind the spacer but if you do then yeah mini tub will be the way to go.

CCW can make a set of wheels to work with a 335/30-18 without having to mini tub. You will have to remove thi inner brake cooling duct. Depending on the tire, it will mount almost flush with the fender. I have seen a set of CCW SP500's with a Nitto NT555R 335/30-18 on a 2001 Z06. The tire only stuck out maybe 1/8 of an inch. You could not really tell it stuck out, but it looked really mean from behind. Good Luck.

Mini-tubbing it just seems much more simple. Easier than the Camaro for damn sure. I'm going to go with I-forged TE-16s. 18x10s/18x12s. Thanks for the assistance guys!
