I decided to descreen my maf, so me and my buddy pop the screen out. I was satisfied with that but my friend convinced me that we needed to gut everything out of it, making it about the same as an aftermarket one. Well now the car idles like crap when you first start it, and does some low speed bucking and surging. The worst part is now i cant pass emissions because its throwing 2 lean codes P0171 and P0174. Is this something that can be fixed with tuning or do i need a new maf? any help appreciated.
