Default My C6Z dyno vs my cam'ed LS3 dyno

My cam'ed LS3 was hit and total'ed about 3 months ago and I replaced with an 08 C6Z. Mods on the Z are a Halltech Killer Bee and a 160t-stat, STOCK TUNE. The mods on my old C6 coupe were intake/headers/exhaust/t-stat/vengeance cam.

The numbers for my Z are in blue and the numbers for my old LS3 coupe are in red. The pic was taken with my Iphone, so I know its not the best. I was shocked at what the Z laid down, but this dyno I have been using for 10yrs and its the most accurate one I have ever been on. My old LS3 coupe made 385whp/378wtq stock, 416whp/418wtq w/ bolt on's, and the numbers you see in red w/ a cam. All of those numbers are RIGHT in line, if not slightly lower than what everyone else seems to get.

DAMN! 478 and 446 aint bad AT ALL! Thats to bad bout your c6 though but the outcome turned out pretty good. I'd like to see what the times would be at the track in comparison to your last car.

Impressive. Thanks for the over lap on the dyno chart. I like the LS3 and LS7.

Thanks

~$3k if you do all the work yourself less the cam install.

I know this is an old thread and all, but honestly, there is NO WAY you got 470rwhp with just an intake/t-stat and a stock tune.

That dyno is off.... a stock Z06 puts down 440-445rwhp. There is no way a killer bee intake+t-stat WITHOUT A RETUNE got you 30rwhp+

Personally, I would do have her redyno'd at another dynometer and compare. Furthermore, have you owned this car from the beginning? If not, how sure of you that it has a factory tune? If you haven't had from the beginning, THEN you most likely have an aftermarket tune with THEN those numbers make sense. My old car (c6 z06 08 2lz) put down 465rwhp with the same intake AND with a tune on a dynojet SAE.

Interesting, you can see where the displacement carries a power advantage (espcially where the LS3 dips at 3200) till about 4300 then the engines are bascially equal.

So on the street the Z06 would feel snapier down low, but in a race they would be pretty equal.
