Default c5 horn technical question. Electrical guru's please!

My horn on my 2000 c5 coupe just stopped working. I pushed around on the steering wheel with absolutely nothing. Thought it was a fuse...Got out of the car and hit the door lock on the remote and the horn chirps!!!Checked all fuses and they are all good. Opinions please!

Would it be the contacts in the steering wheel? I would think they would have given signs first. started to cut in and out or at least give me a bit of feedback while i was pushing around on it. If it is the contacts in the horn...how hard is that to fix given the air bag?

Thanks,
Jeff

You need to replace the horn membrane. Been there done that on plenty C5's. I only know of one place that makes them aftermarket otherwise it's a complete airbag assembly.
