c3 vs c4
so i built a SBC for my dad (~400bhp) he originally wanted to put it into a 1st or 2nd gen Camaro, but after some time he is starting to lean towards to Vette, so my question is which would be the better buy
hell be spending $2-4K on whatever he gets but idk much about vettes so whats everyone's opinions?

The C4 isn't ideal for the swap since it's got all the computers tied into everything... avoid that.
I personally love C3's... he would be better of look at the 68-72 which can be bought in the $teens still needing a little work. They are the next Corvette to start appreciating when/IF the economy gets back up off the floor.
68-72 has the chrome bumpers front and back. They are the most desirable from the 3rd gen... = better resale.

67-72s are out of the price range, when i said c3 i meant like 75-83, and c4 like 84-89
is it really that hard to put a carbed motor in a c4? i see alot of 3rd gen camaros with carbed motors, wouldnt it be the same computer?

looked at 3 cars today, a 74- POS an 82- POS and an 81 that i kinda liked
it has been sitting for 10 years but the body looks pretty good, numbers matching, and he claims it runs and drives but it doesnt have a battery right now, interior is Pearl but needs carpet and seats, but it comes with a new carpet
ganna look at another 81 tonight that is a daily driver with new engine and tranny that are 3 yrs old, says to have high miles too
any thoughts?
