04 Z06 Is this a good buy ?
04 Z06 60k miles.
The car is yellow. It is good condition and drives well. It is a 2 owner car.
I have a tenative deal.Here it is-
Trade in my 99 T/A...free and clear. They are giving me 6k for it.
Out the door price is 23k w tax and a 3 year extended warranty.
This seems like a good deal to me but i am a little skeptical about the miles.
Any input is appreciated

*APOLOGIES FOR ASKING Q's ALREADY ANSWERED* its early.
Don't let the warranty trick you into thinking its a better deal. Ask them to drop the warranty and the price. Awesome car !!! I'd love an 04 z. In this economy the price still sounds high to me.
Miles ?
Mods ?
Too bad it wasn't a private sale, 20k in the case and the car would be yours. One question on the extended warranty, is it bumper to bumper and is it ZERO deductible or do you have to pay 50, 75, or 100 bucks everytime you bring it in.
I'd suggest you write a pros and cons list for buying this car. If the pros outweigh the cons then get it, and vice versa.
One last question, could you possibly make more then 6K on your 99 t/a if you sold it yourself?

Here are all the details.
04 Z06 59125 miles
The car has some scrapes onthe wheels but the dealer will make good.
My car is a 99 T/A with a SLP Ram Air hood,SLP airlid, tune and a cutout. The car has 101k miles. Every thing works and there is a small tear in the drivers seat and a really small tear on the headliner in the rear. There are some paint chips on the front. EVERTHING works and the car runs strong.
Here are the numbers.
Z06 price 23999
T/A trade -6000
tax 1979
tax crd - 486
warr 3350 Zurich premium. 100 ded. 3yr/36
smog 39
doc 398
Amount left to finance is 23307.
This all comes back to the original price quoted with an extended warranty.
We need not get into terms and interest as i have excellent credit(796) and can borrow ANYWHERE.

To high man, I got my 02 with 31k on the clock and a 36 month warranty, for 21k that included everything smog/doc ect ect....And I got 4% interest rates. I was 21 when I bought my Z as well. They need to come down a lot or you need to start looking elsewhere.

Yes sir, listen to this guy right here. I would tell them it's too high for where the market is right now and start to walk away. They will try to tempt you by dropping the price ALITTLE more but basically they would need to drop it a few thousand more to be in the ball park. Show them this thread for added backup if need be.

Well if you do go back to the C6 route get the LS3, And if you don't have the funds just save up for it a bit more. But if you want a Z tho, the C5's are a steal these days!

Yea too high of a price for that car. Sold my 02 C5Z with 9800 miles on it for $25k.
Depending if you are going to mod or not, that will weigh in on if you want the warranty or not. Plus being yellow it will be harder for them to sell.
