Default Looking at a 99 C5

OK so i am completely new to corvettes, i need some help. I currently have a 99 Trans Am 6 speed. It has long tube headers, 4" X pipe, to open pipes. It sounds great. Also has CAI, P&P throttle body, Tuned, slotted brakes, lowering springs, 8 way adjustable shocks, B&M short throw shifter, and a couple other minor things. Now for the car i am looking at. Its a 99 C5 6 speed as well. It has a Blackwing intake, optima battery, and Borla exhaust. The stealership wants $12,800 and it has 113,000 miles. My question is it worth this much, should i keep the T/A, are there any major drawbacks to a C5? Any info/help would be great. Also is it hard to put the HUD into the car? It doesnt have that but I might want it. Thanks in advance.

Thats a good bit of miles on the car....But if the car is in pretty good shape, i really dont think their too far off (for a dealership anyways) It just really depends what kind of condition its in....c5's are bad ***!!!

Me you unless its ur car 113K miles is a lot mean you wuill have to refresh the motor probably soon specially if its going to be your DD or a track car. Also the rod bolts are a must to change if your modding the car and your trying to spin that motor past 6500 RPM. My C5 has a 103K but I have put on 85K of those 103K and I know how I have driven it and I know next year if I don't do the 402 she will be due for a refresh hone, new rods, pistons and probably new bearings. She'll be good to go.

Motor work on a refresh is not bad in the vette. Like was told above you will love the vette. But make sure body and interior is in very good cond at the full price. If buying the car with no trade 1,k high work on them at the price. Plus remember you can buy a car for less on the last day of the month at a car lot. They want to move ever car for that month so if will not deal with you today go back by and tell them you want to talk with a mgr to deal.

Greed with the post above, wait till Saturday and go in there ready to play ball. I am sure you can get another 500 to 1K off the price specially if you have good credit and if your buying cash f&%^K em offer them an out the door price 2K less and stick to that and if not a good deal always comes around. The more money you keep in your plocket the more money for mods

Good luck
