a friend of mine has a 2008 vette, standard engine, developed a tap around 20K-he took it in, they said he had the wrong filter, changed the oil, noise still there-he said it taps real loud for about 30 secs, then goes away-he called me since i had built a few LS engines, he said the dealer wants to pull the pan, but he is convinced its a lifter, he has built a lot of cars, knows stuff, just not LS engines, so he was picking my brain, wasnt wild about the dealer having to pull a head if needing a lifter change-its under warr.
has anyone had a single lifter problem on theirs-i know there has been earlier changes in the lifters, and rockers, but that was a few years ago
