Default stock bottom end 5.7 ls6 - 500whp+

I just wanted to share the results of my build. We hit 500+ on a stock bottom end with all boltons on stock ported 243 heads.

Are they saying that 11.2@119 on a their mustang dyno was about right? I would say 480rw on a MD is over 500rw on a DJ. I just know that I ran 11.2@123 with 405rw on a DJ. What size cam is in there?

On that run it should have been around 10.6 but the clutch was starting to act up I need a new clutch after looking at the log file we could see that it took 1.1 sec to enter 4th gear from 3 to 4. the custom grind cam is a 229/233

Seems a little optimistic but not saying it's impossible. I would throw the fake 1/4 time in the trash and get to a real track to see what it'll do. This would help validate the dyno's claimed power level too.

Cool. That has to be some kind of record with a cam that small and ported 243's. Congrats. Your builder and tuner are the men.

I actually built the motor. the 2003 z06 is my brothers car. My tuner is ED from Mongillo Motors in CT wouldn't be possible without his amazing tuning skills.

500 rwhp out of a 347ci,..it's a big cam.

I made 450rwhp years ago with AFR's and 233/237 648..598..112 on a superflow dyno(similar to MD)

I have seen 490rwhp out of the same setup and a few more cubes(364ci)
