I was driving my C5 today for the first time in weeks and after doing a hard pull in second I got a very loud and hard vibration/thumping from under the car when I shifted into 3rd. The vibration stayed only when I gave the car gas in gear. I idled it home and only when I gave the car a little bit of gas did the thumping return. Any ideas on what it could be? I was thinking the torque tube broke or something along those lines because the car drove but only when I drove it slow.

Sounds like a TT. When my couplers started to fray it vibrated like I was running over rumble strips on moderate acceleration.
