Default How fast did you run your C5Z bone stock?

Hey guys I was just watchin some old motortrend and motorweek vids of the C5Z and was curious if any of you guys were able to best their times of 12.5 and 12.4 bone stock. I don't own a vette but just like to see/hear about people bangin the gears!

They can go mid 11s bone stock. You're on the wrong forum for that type of vette convo....

There are only a handful of people who got stock C5Z's in the high 11's. Realistically you are looking at mid low 12's with a stock C5Z.

I watched a guy from my local forum do a 12.3 bone stock on street tires. Then with a Varaam intake and ET Street's he did an 11.6

Yesterday was ugly for me, I need to have my tune check out.

12.6@117 with a p1sc procharger on an '01

It's still rockin' the procharger handheld tune (how I bought it)

It's going on the dyno either tomorrow or sometime next week to find out what's going on.

Yep a stock car (stock tires, not DRs) will probably be in the low 12s with the average driver.

It takes headers + cai + sticky tires for most people to run consistent high-mid 11s.

12.6 @ 115 (Fontana)

I had an RSD shifter, VR and I was on street tires (T1Rs)

I'm also on that fast list.

Average drivers in the right conditions will run 12.6-12.8. Good drivers in crappy conditions run about the same. I've heard of crappy drivers running high 13's and low 14's. (In fact I know one of them.)

I wish I could have run the car at low sea level and low DA. But that's just how it goes.

I ran a 16.x after it got sideways twice on the launch and I just coasted to the end. Sticky tires is the #1 thing at the drag strip.

I never post, but I ran 11.9s consistantly @116 with drs only when I had my c5z. My 06 m6 with Fast 102, headers and tune runs 12.2 on runflats @118-120. Judging from my mph, my LS2 needed a few mods to compete.

DRs will greatly assist traction when launching; however, the OEM F1s could provide excellent 60's on a well prepped track. (1.8x much of the time with an occasional 1.7x mixed in) A good launch technique along with correct tire pressure is a must. There is a fine line between bogging, spinning, and possibly overpowering the clutch although the OEM clutch worked extremely well.

Wow GARY2004Z06, I remember seeing your record bolt-on c5 z06 times on the vette forum, but after seeing your c6 times too, I'm sure you'll be remembered as "legendary" in the annals of vette history for your times, haha. Unbelievable times.

I went 12.8@112 with a bone stock 01 in 2600 da with a 2.0 60ft practically bogging it out the hole and still getting some tire spin in first gear. Tried some more throttle and went 13.8@ 111. This was my first time at the track with it.

EDIT: just looked at the timeslips my 12.80 runs were on 2.1 60fts
