Default DMH cutout install on a C5

I thought some of you might appreciate the pics of a DMH Low Pro cutout install as we went along.

-fitting cutouts
-plasma cut mid-pipe for cutout flanges
-tig weld flanges to mid-pipe
-port mid-pipe to tig welded flange
-heat wrapped motors
-heat wrapped all wiring

Nice install. I should think about heat wrapping my wires, too.

thanks.. we like to take the extra steps to make sure everything is done properly and last. The tunnel area get very hot as we all know and the heat wrap is surely needed.

Any reason your wrapped the motors? Is it because you have them behind the cutout opening? I have my motors in front of the opening so I didn't think they would get that hot.

We found this positioning allowed us to keep the cutouts very high. We wrapped the motors due to them being close to the mid-pipe bend and the fact they are behind the outlet.
