Default New designed MGW shifter installed with Z06 Carbon Edition suede **** and boot

New shifter design as stated in MGW’s instructions. This is the one you will get when you now order a MGW C5/C6 shifter with C6 **** (8/11). I ordered the suede shifter **** and boot from my local Chevy dealer. They can be ordered either blue or orange stitched, and MSRP was around $85 each. For C5 owners don’t forget you need a screw to hold the C6 **** in place. I forgot to order mine from the dealer so I went to home depot and bought a three pack of 5mm x16mm machine screws for 98 cents from the M15 box.

Any idea what the purpose of the large black/gold rectangular piece is? Some kind of vibration/noise damper I presume? Just curious, that is new from the last design MGW which I have. I definitely like mine, MGW is the way to go IMO.

That suede **** is nice too. I had the regular 05-07 shift **** in mine for awhile before moving to a 8-ball style ****. Definitely beats the crap out of the extremely old fashioned looking stock C5 ****.

I currently have a B&M Ripper in my C5 Z now and was thinking about swapping out to a MGW. My B&M is very notchy and takes a lot of effort getting in and out of gear.

How do you like the MGW compared to other you has tried?

Try the anti-venom mod before you switch. You just may save some money

I tested the shifter on a ZO6 last week and when I first felt it I knew I need it for my car. Especially if you have 3.90's or 4.10's it cuts the throw in half which makes a diffrence in time.

Never used another shifter in a vette but out of the shifters I have used in f bodies Pro 5.0 and B&M the MGW is best

MGW's are phenomenal - literally able to shift with wrist movement. Can't understand why this (or something comparable if there is such a thing) is not standard equipment on all C6's. Incredibly good investment.

Is the height of the shifter with **** taller than the stock C5 shifter and ****?
