Default How to Fail, but do it in style

Well last weekend was Hot Rod Magazines Top Speed Challenge race in Wilmington Ohio. I've ran at the challenge for the last 6 years and have set some records so I seem to do mediocre well. I drove my Vette out there (670 miles door to door) pulling a trailer and ran it. I had the tune set marginally safe and felt good about finally being able to safely go 200 if possible. So here is the on the road pic and the only video that came out, unfortunately it dips at around 160mph, but you can see the chute deploy at 33 seconds at 192.17mph. Best pass of the event was 192.2mph. Oh I got 17mpg pulling the trailer averaging 75mph also, trailer is on Honda Civic 14" rims btw. So I failed at the task, but I made it there and home and had a good time watching friends finally break into the 2 club.

Awesome. I'd love to do that too! My car is set up for the standing mile and 200mph was the goal.

Its about 8 hours one way for me...

That thing is making some serious power... a few changes and your 200 mph club set!

That wasn't a bad story at all. Good for you man, at least you got out there and did triple digit speeds, legally, and made it home. Tight work. Hope I can have as much mile seat time as you one of these days.

Whoo-hoo!! I made it in Hot Rod Magazine again. It also showed me I've got major aero problems at over 185mph
