Default Help!

on my 2001 c5 base my headlight motor seems to make avery loud noise only when i put them back down. i believe it might be the motor but im not sure, my friend gave me his headlight motor so i wat to know is this the problem or could it be something else?

The motor would be my guess. My experience was with a Transam with a motor going bad.

Sounds like a machine gun? I just did mine. The plastic gear is stripped. I upgraded to the brass gear.

So does taking my friends 2003 headlight help fix the problem if I switch the gears???

If his headlight has the gears in it still, you can just swap it, should work, your motor is ok though, i would just order the $35 brass upgrade kit and change the one you already have on the car. Your friends gear is going to strip sooner or later also. You will have yours out either way, just pop the cover and change the gear. Up to you though
