Hi, I cuttently own a 2004 gto auto tranny w.47XXX miles. I bought it a year ago and was limited because of the snowy weather. However corvettes are my favorite car and I'm now able to store my car in a garage for free so I'm considering a vette now. C5s are my favorite model.

I want to know what everyones take is, I currently have a 5yr loan on the gto (4 more to go, 1.99apr from $13,425 coming at $235.5 a mo.) I pay $114 a mo. For ins. Cause I am on my gparents ins. Plan. I would like to know how much would my ins. Change (guestimate) and how much money extra would I have to pay on the car or do you guys think I could do an even trade and still get a good deal.

Gto and Corvette are both awesome cars but in different ways. If you want a VERY comfortable daily driver with plenty of power.. the gto all day long. If you want an American legend sports car that will get compliments constantly (but isn't as comfy) go get you a Corvette. I've owned both now and I miss my gto but the fun factor of the vette makes up for it

A friend of mine with a GTO is shopping for a C6 right now. He called about the insurance and it was lower for the vette. He ask why, and was told parts are getting harder and harder to find to repair the GTO.
